These terms and conditions tell you about the legal terms and conditions which apply to your purchase and use of postal and digital gift cards purchased online through the itison website, itison.com.

Use of your gift card constitutes acceptance of our terms and conditions and we therefore recommend you read them carefully. itison reserves the right to update and change these terms and conditions. Your legal rights remain unaffected by any updates.

Using your gift card

The value of your gift card can be redeemed by booking through the itison.com website. Gift cards may be used to pay for the whole or any part of an online order. If the order exceeds the amount of the gift card, the balance must be paid in full by credit or debit card at the point of booking.

Validity

Your gift card is valid for a period of 12 months from the date of activation (the date of dispatch), following which they expire automatically.

Use of multiple gift cards

Only one gift card can be used per order.

Use of promotional codes

Promotional codes cannot be used in conjunction with gift cards.

Email gift cards

Email gift cards shall be provided free of delivery costs to the email address provided at point of purchase.

Postal gift cards

There are additional delivery costs associated with provision of a postal gift card which are added to the gift card cost and paid at the point of purchase. Please allow up to 7 days for delivery of a postal gift card.

Refunds

Please retain a gift card should you wish to request a refund.

Any goods or services paid for using a gift card that are subsequently refunded will be credited to the original gift card. in the event that you have discarded or misplaced your original card, a refund will be issued on a new gift card. For refunds where part payment was taken from a gift card, the refund will be credited to your gift card in the first instance.

If a partial refund is made for any purchase using a gift card and another method of payment, then any refund amount owing will be credited to the itison gift card in the first instance.

If the total to be refunded is more than originally paid by gift card, then any remaining refund balance will be refunded to the other method of payment used by you (i.e. debit/credit card or cash).

No change or credit is given in the event that the gift card value exceeds the total cost of an order. For example, where a £100 voucher is used to purchase a £95 order, the remaining credit associated with the gift card will be available to use on a separate order until the full value is used (or the gift card expires).

Refunds cannot be processed once a gift card has been fully or partially used

Transfer

Gift cards are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Lost or stolen gift cards

Lost, stolen or destroyed gift cards will not be exchanged or refunded. Should your gift card become damaged, itison will be able to replace the card providing you still have the card in your possession and the necessary details can be obtained.

Maximum value

The maximum amount of an individual gift card is £200.00.

Data protection

Personal data relating to your purchase or use of a gift card will be used in accordance with current applicable data protection and privacy legislation and our privacy policy

Governing law and jurisdiction

These conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. You agree, as we do, to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

Treat Yourself promotion

Promotion available on purchases of physical (delivered) gift cards only - digital (email and print-at-home) gift cards do not qualify.

Minimum purchase value of £50 required to qualify for the promotion.

Only applies to purchases between Monday 30th November and Monday 14th December.

You will receive a promotional code for 10% of the value of your gift card. e.g. if you purchase a £100 gift card, you will receive a promotional code for £10.

This will be added to your itison account within one week of buying your gift card.

14-day standard cancellation policy applies to gift card purchases.

Where the promotional code is used before gift card cancellation is requested, itison reserves the right to deduct the amount of credit from the subsequent refund. i.e If purchaser receives £10 credit and cancels the gift card purchase after using the credit, £10 will be deducted from the refund amount.
