Pleasant hotel with excellent service and food. Weather was miserable and appreciated a nice comfortable heated room during our short stay.

We found this hotel exceeded our expectations. It is well located near centre of town and is a very clean and friendly place. We were very impressed with the standard of food on offer we had purchased the £30F&B option which almost covered our main course. We thought it was excellent value you for money especially as we were given an upgrade without even asking. We will definitely be back.

This is not a criticism but we stayed last year on 14th February and it was lovely that there was a pianist and we had hoped there might have been something similar this year.

unfortunately the weather was awful which one was unable to walk and see anything in Stranraer but as there was a swimming pool one able to pass time indoors due to bad weather also had a look at curling rink However the fact is it was a break!

I didn't know what to expect but was favourably surprised. Clean, large bedroom. Excellent food in restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. Good service from properly trained staff. Lovely swimming pool.

We stayed 3 nights and loved every minute. Drinks in the Alpine Bar watching the curling, delicious dinners in the restaurant and great breakfasts. Upgraded to a Loch view room which was great. Perfect location for trips to Mull of Galloway and Port Patrick and even a day trip to Belfast. A lovely break and we’d definitely go back

This hotel was easy to find. It's located near the seafront and 5 mins. stroll to shops restaurants and bars. The hotel had ample parking spaces, although I had the feeling it wasn't too busy guest-wise (we stayed Sun-Tue). Check-in was quick and easy. Our room, a sea view double, was clean and comfortable, and had two chairs to relax in. Why so many only have one between two guests baffles me! We didn't use the swimming pool as we arrived some 5 hours later than planned due to a hospital appointment delay, and the weather was such that we got outdoors, but it looked nice. Breakfast was standard British fayre, and we used our dinner allowance on our second night. Choice was good and we both enjoyed our meal. The staff were all polite and friendly. Would I stay again? Yes
