I did enjoy The Green Gates Cafe. However, the experience would have been greatly improved if someone could take charge of the service given to customers.
On both occasions I have visited this could have been so much better and has let the venue down.

The tapas choices were very varied and each dish we chose was so tasty. The wine with the meal was a generous pour. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, will definately return.

Glad we chose the tapas deal - love to try lots of different dishes. Enjoyed them all, but the star was the mutton rara. Meat in a mince sauce sounds mad, but was a real treat!

The food was delicious
The service was great
The wine not stupidly expensive unlike so many places now
Had not been for a couple of years but need to go back real soon

From the outside I wasn’t too sure but Green Gates Cafe was lovely, a great variety of tapas which was very filling. The house white wine was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Having never been to Green Gates Cafe previously, I actually thought it was a new place as our table was immaculate and the bathroom was nice - corridor towards it, made me think it might not be nice, but actually it was - might be a good idea to decorate that wee corridor, as the rest of the place is lovely.

The food was excellent and the wine was a good choice too. The smaller plates are just right and the waitress was able to explain each choice
