Burgers; I really enjoyed mine, my husband, not so much. It wasn’t fully explained to us that we could both have extras included in the cost of the voucher, so we took one. The sweet; apple crumble with anglaise. The Apple was quite sour and the anglaise was cold. We ordered coffees; Americano’s with hot milk, there wasn’t really enough milk for 2 cups. No mats on the tables for drinks, therefore liquid everywhere. We have booked another voucher for November, this was booked at an earlier date, so although it is new management, I believe, we didn’t think there was an improvement this time, hopefully, the next time it will be better, or………..

This was very poor value for money. We have used Itison at Urban Fox before, and been quite happy.
On this occasion the starter (menu price £7,) and apparently Tempura veg? arrived as 3-4 small scraps of veg, which were soaked in greasy oil. Which was disgusting when you took a bite, no amount of lemonade or water could get the grease, from my palate 😩. . This then made me question if the Fish & Chips would be the same! The waitress could not guarantee ‘crisp fish with minimal grease so advised me to order something else.
The ‘pig’ burger in fairness was fine, if that is what you fancied, but i’d been looking forward to fish & chips tbh.
I should caution the burger arrives with ‘no chips’ , which is strange 😏, as accompanying chips are pretty standard everywhere else I’d been!
Therefore, the Itison deal of £15pp, for 2 courses, does not seem such a bargain, for what was essentially a few scraps of dodgy veg and a burger, in a back street pub.
I won’t be back

The burgers here are superb. I had the Classic Fox and my pal went for the Big Pig. Both cooked and served perfectly. Heaving with toppings and full of flavour. The beer was decent, too. Definitely recommend and plan to return.

A pleasant evening at the Urban Fox. Friendly staff. Enjoyed my starter ox cheeks.
I wish I had a pound though for everytime I have asked for the pork belly main to ne told it is finished. At 6:30pm . It is the first sitting of the evening. Perhaps they should order more or remove it from the menu.
