I was sceptical as Gordon is so critical of everyone else that I wondered if his own food was going to be good! I was very pleasantly surprised that it was good.
My starter of crispy cauliflower florets with coconut yoghurt dressing and lime was something different. It was really delicious! My husband enjoyed his cod bites in batter.
For main course we had the chicken in a bun burger -it was very nice although we weren't that keen on the hard boiled egg- actually, I didn't mind it but my husband didn't like it. Perhaps cheddar cheese or another nice cheese would have been better?
Chips were extra-but they were lovely-nice and crispy.
For pudding my husband had cheesecake -it could have been a bit more solid-it was more like a mousse but it was nicely presented . I had the chocolate brownie- it was absolutely gorgeous.
We were a bit taken aback by the wine prices as they were quite high per glass. Maybe London prices?
However, all in all the meal was and the staff helpful and friendly. We'll definitely be going again-and my teenage son wants to come along next time too!

Why did we wait so long to try Bread Street Restaurant :-). We had an exceptional experience, from the booking, the warm and welcoming customer service. Loved the fact that you could see the chefs. The food was beautifully presented, and really did taste as good as it looked. The handling of the allergy requirements the best we have experienced. Giving us great peace of mind. A fabulous ambience, love the attention to detail with the water jugs. All the staff made our visit a very special experience, especially as it was my Dad's birthday and they presented him with a beautiful birthday plate :-). We can't wait to return VERY soon. Thank you to EVERYONE at Bread Street Kitchen.

The food was nice I didn’t like any the mains on the set menu so I had a starter and a pudding which were both delicious but the voucher wasn’t really a bargain I paid £45 and 2courses from the set menu was only £17 each so that is only £34 so what we got was 1 glass of Prosecco free and the coffee which I don’t drink
But nice place though the drinks are eye wateringly expensive

This was a gift to my daughter and her husband for the Sunday roast. They both enjoyed the food and the service was fantastic. Will definitely be back and would definitely recommend

I didn’t enjoy our visit at all. There were 5 adults and one 2 year old. Service was slow and when the meal came it was tepid. The gravy was hot but nothing else. The 2 potatoes were hard. Child enjoyed his meatballs and pasta. Certainly not worth the money we paid for this family celebration. I was at our local college today for lunch. A table of 10 and everyone’s meal was piping hot!! To think of all these restaurants Gordon Ramsay slated on TV . Needs to visit his own.
