Been here many times and always enjoyed breakfast. Disappointed that you don’t get refills of tea or coffee.
Staff were lovely, spent time to speak to me and my friend Anne.
Tan, Yvonne and Anna were lovely.

I have been for afternoon tea at cup a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I bought another voucher to take a friend but if I’m being honest I feel like the standard wasn’t nearly as good as it used to be.
When we arrived the waitress gave us a menu but didn’t explain why she had given us it, it wasn’t clear that we were to say if there was anything we didn’t like or couldn’t eat, infact we thought we were maybe meant to pick things from it?? When I had came to cup years ago everything was just brought out as is, and in any sense it wasn’t explained to us why we were given menus.
Our table was really small and wobbly, at one point my friend tried to put a folded napkin underneath to steady it because my coffee was spilling anytime one of us moved but that didn’t work so we just had to tolerate it.
I had the gluten free menu (the waitress seemed a bit confused about what gluten free means, I think she got this confused with vegetarian) and everything I ate was disappointing apart from the scone and the bruschetta. The sandwich fillings just weren’t nice and the brownie was stale. At £34 a voucher I feel pretty let down and will probably try somewhere else next time. We were there on Saturday afternoon so I appreciate that this is probably the busiest time so I wasn’t too surprised when no one came to offer us anymore tea/coffee, or drinks or if we had enjoyed our food or take our plates away. We just got up and left and had to check with the manager (think he was the manager, who knows) that we didn’t owe anything.

The breakfast tea was pretty much what I expected. Slightly disappointed in the scones which were dry and quite crumbly, a little butter as well as the jam which we were given, may have helped. The food was all really nice, items which should have been hot were hot, we were offered more tea and stayed longer than the 1 and a half hours allocated. We didn't feel rushed or unwelcome.

We were disappointed with the amount of food and lack of choice. Had been there before and had a totally different experience so was expecting so much better.

We had morning tea and while we enjoyed it, we noticed a couple of changes from previous visits. We were unable to book online and instead of a selection of small pastries, we were given two cream and jam cookies. Not sure this is an improvement. We had to ask for butter and no cream was provided for the scones. Jam served in a glass and not the small jars previously provided. Seems to be under new management and will hope these are just teething troubles.

2nd visit to Cup-1st with our granddaughter. Afternoon Tea was good-maybe a few more sandwiches?
Service was just about right-not too formal, but attentive and efficient. Reckon a 3rd visit is on the cards.
