Had afternoon tea, very nice hotel, modern, bright and airy. Comfortable seating. Friendly staff that were very helpful. Large selection of well filled sandwiches, side of pakora served which I've never had with afternoon tea before. Very tasty and plenty of it. Cake selection was good, very fresh as was Scone, jam and cream. Pot of tea and coffee each with a glass of Prosecco. Great value for money and a lovely afternoon of dining.

My heart sank when the little cheap plastic jam portions and butter portions were sitting on the table, you would think somewhere like this would use decent jam on the scones, also, I don't know what cream was supplied for the scones but it certainly wasn't clotted or fresh cream, it was extremely sweet and sickly. Anyway, we were seated and our order taken, the afternoon tea was nice, plenty of sandwiches, a couple of sausage rolls each and the usual cakes and scones (supermarket scones, not home made). We couldn't finish everything and had every intention of having what was left boxed to take away, however, once we had been served, no-one came near us again to ask how we were or if we wanted anything else, so, after what felt like an age, we just left. Not a great experience to be honest.

Afternoon tea was lovely. Staff were very busy and we had to wait 45 mind for the food. Staff were very apologetic. Decor could do with an upgrade and cleanliness was an issue
