This was a lovely hotel. Lovely welcome from the reception staff. We were offered a whisky for a welcome drink, unfortunately we don't drink Whisky. We got a great room overlooking the garden with a great king sized bed. We arranged a lift to and from the theatre with the hotel. We even managed to get parked in the hotel car park for £5 for the night. We also enjoyed a buffet style breakfast where you could literally eat as much as you wanted. Overall a very good experience.

Like most hotels it seems.....there's never enough shelve space in the toilet for your toiletries. !!
Apart from that , all very good.

Second stay at hotel. Disappointed following first stay couple of years ago - family room was grubby & noticed filthy stained radiator in restaurant that time. Recent stay - Room small but adequate and felt had a basic clean - still some hairs on bedding, sheets not tucked in around bed properly to finish off neatly and some hair on bathroom floor. Tilt Window difficult to open as not a tall person and seemed to sit in wide open position once open. There were no directions to the room once exited lift on level 1 (believe room in extension part) and was not aware until later that other stairs could get you to room quicker. Breakfast was lovely. Overnight stay not unpleasant but following 2 separate stays now don’t feel the hotel quite lives up to the advertising & hype. Location and surroundings lovely.

Room was large and comfortable overlooking pleasant garden, breakfast fine, staff pleasant and helpful
We found drinks expensive and a lift to accomodation overlooking gardens would have been good
Overall perfect for our purposes
