However basement room with no daylight not so good. Difficult to dress for the day

Excellent location. Judges court is exceptional. Room was lovely, clean bright and great tea and coffee facilities.
Staff were lovely and so helpful.
Would absolutely recommend a visit.

Friendly staff and definately of the period. Great location. Other rooms shown on website looked lovely but our room was not up to expectation. The window area was greatly in need of repainting not helped by the wonky blind. The en-suite was fine. But this was not a boutique room.

Location great, staff super.
Could do with a public area to sit and socialise
Shame that there was no breakfast on offer but Bill's close by was excellent
Hotel a little run down and could do with some re-decoration
But we enjoyed our stay

Very enjoyable stay. Clean and tidy and lovely staff. No food served but you could get some wine.

Girls on reception were excellent throughout our stay.
I realise Judges Court is an old building and there is a limit to what can be done to improve layout but when you have to lug cases
Two flights up a narrow and frankly unsafe, staircase this has to be mentioned in your booking preamble. Attic rooms were tight . Even though we booked months ago we could not change room as the hotel was fully booked on arrival.
Beware get a ground floor room, if possible.
Finally there is no taxi access to Coney St between 10.30am and 6pm. No breakfast at the hotel but I would recommend Molly,s Tearoom in Stonegate ( 5 minutes walk)
Otherwise great location for all you would want to do in a lovely city.
