The food was fantastic. Haggis spring rolls for starter were fresh and delicious. I wasn’t keen on the sauce however my husband liked it. For main, we all had Braised beef. It was outstanding. Melt in your mouth beef and the gravy was also delicious. 2 of us switched out the sides for others and this was no problem at all.
The only reason I took off a star was that the restaurant felt cold which in turn made me feel it was a bit dingy as it is quite a dark restaurant. The wait staff were all lovely and friendly however service was a little slow. We would definitely go back though as the food was fantastic.

Shame that they could not offer brown bread we did ask, however they didn’t have brown bread, sandwiches with the afternoon tea , shame that i was charged for an extra coffee when one of my friends had a coffee and a pot of tea
We were running late for our table due to given the wrong directions, being with friends who had poor mobility issues? so it was good of them to attend to allow us to continue with our afternoon tea, due to the time of our visit them not being too busy
Would definitely visit again with more mobile friends due to where it is placed.

No stemmed glasses available for wine, one glass was returned as it hadn't been dried. Haggis in Spring Rolls poor quality, dipping sauce very strange, only tasted small amount but couldn't get rid of taste. Chicken was under cooked, it was replaced but a bit that was returned was recooked. Fish was dry and batter was flat and strange like it was cooked in frying pan. Mushy peas tasted like dip from spring rolls. I did read reviews before ordering from Itison but our experience didn't match reviews.
