What a lovely few days we had at the Glenisle. The hotel is in a perfect location. All the staff were very pleasant & friendly & went the extra mile to put on some form of entertainment. The overall cleanliness was very good. The bedroom was a good size with a king-size bed, which was very comfortable. Nice white fluffy towels in the bathroom. What more could you ask for!!
We only had one evening meal at the hotel & it was ok. Missed my cereal in the morning but other than that all good

Enjoyable stay, on sea front with views over to Holy Isle.

No improvement needed to this hotel. The staff are amazing and so helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is excellent too. Joyce is a wonderful host and goes out of her way to help. I left my tablet in my room and it is being posted on to me. I will definitely be back. The hotel is wonderful.

It's a lovely hotel. Right on water's edge. Joy and Nathan (hosts) are fantastic. Food was excellent. Would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you

We have stayed at the Glenisle several times and were excited to go back. This voucher was our Christmas present to each other, so we were really looking forward to it. We stayed for 3 nights. The staff were warm and friendly as we have come to expect. The food was excellent, as always. However, the central heating for the hotel was not functioning properly, which in February is not ideal (apparently a new pump is required). Due to this, our room was very cold and had no hot water. We informed staff of this 3 times during our first evening, each time, we were assured it would be operational within 10-20mins. We were not offered a portable heater / extra blankets / hot drinks etc. We had to retrieve our own electric blanket and heater from our camper van for warmth - it really was that cold. We showered in the neighbouring building the following morning (an electric shower which fluctuated between icy cold and scalding hot). The bathroom in our room was in poor condition. The ceiling was mouldy, with paint flaking (photos available) and the window blind covered in mould.
I requested a change of room, which the staff were able to facilitate. To their credit, they upgraded our room to one with a sea view (bliss! - although the windows were in need of a good clean). The central heating and hot water were still not fully operational. Our 2nd room had a portable heater, thankfully, however the only hot water was through the shower (not consistently hot). No hot water was coming through the taps. This bathroom was also in need of TLC, with similar issues to the first (mould and flaky paintwork).
While we understand the staff (after prompting) did their best to mitigate the unforeseen issues with the heating and hot water, our experience was not to the high standard we are used to at this hotel (we estimate this was our 5th visit). The bathrooms seem to have been sorely neglected since our last visit (14 months previously) and do not reflect the boutique ethos of what was previously a wonderful little hotel that we have often recommended to others. Such a disappointment and we really don’t know if we’ll go back.

Lovely meal on first night. Room spacious with sea view (we upgraded at our own cost)
Staff very helpful and friendly. Cosy with log fire and tastefully decorated lounge .Beds really comfy too.
Only downside was the poor water pressure in the shower .

The hotel rooms are small but clean. The staff were really friendly and the food was lovely and great value for the money. There was parking at the back and entertainment on the Friday night . It was a great place to visit for the weekend.

This hotel deal offered more than expected. Every aspect of our stay was superb. Have already bought vouchers as Christmas gifts.

Comfortable room and bar/restaurant looking out to sea and Holy Isle - beautiful. Food offer quite limited but understand it's winter and a small hotel. What food we had was good and well prepared.
