I was taking a friend as a treat. I was disappointed. Compared to another venue I have had cheese and wine, I felt they could improve things. It was suppose to be a cheese board but cheese and biscuits arrived on a plate. Only the one type of cracker and no nice quartered toast. Which I have had in other venues. Only 3 cheeses to choose from. We had white wine and only could have Pino Grigio or Chardonnay. The staff were nice but could improve a lot on the food and how it is served.

We thoroughly enjoyed the bottle of wine on this deal - delicious! Surroundings were delightful.
However, there was no welcome when we arrived, so immediately this impaired our expectations. For a bar of this calibre, the attentiveness of the staff needs improved.

Wine was lovely. Cheese board was minimum. Asked to add a Charcuterie board but none available. Not great value and we certainly would not pay the original price, offer price was also not the best offer available in the town centre. Malo was not busy so this should reflect that offer is not working. Did phone to book as instructed but advised not needed by the member of staff.

I cannot believe that Malo is a sister venue to Vronis it bears no resemblance. We were the only people in the venue. The cheeseboard consisted of 3 small cheeses, a small bunch of grapes and some chutney. 2 of the cheeses were inedible. We asked for butter but they didn't have any.The wine was Lebanese. Only 3 out of 4 toilets were available and it had no toilet paper. To say we were disappointed was an understatement we were glad to leave after an hour. I have always loved ITISON deals but I really think you should distance yourself from this venue I at a loss to see how it is ever profitable.

I booked an Itison cheese and wine flight deal. Having done these several times before in other venues, there is usually a choice of what type of wine you’d like on your flight, I.e. reds or whites. This wasn’t the case at Malo. Unfortunately my friend doesn’t like red wine and received 2 glasses of red wine and 1 white. So the lack of choice was disappointing. However the wines we had were nice, as was the cheeses, although could use more crackers for the amount of cheese.
