Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, everything that we expected.

We had a lovely stay, although our room was near the door to the Spa so there was a bit of noise with everyone coming & going. The staff were lovely but should ask (now & again) if everything is ok with the dining experience. Both at breakfast & dinner I left quite a bit on my plate and no one asked if everything was ok? At breakfast the poached eggs were runny (including the whites) so I couldn’t eat them. At dinner the lamb was very fatty so I left it. For the standard of hotel they should have asked if all was ok. That aside we did have a lovely stay and we will return. However, next time, I will ask for eggs to be well done and I won’t have the lamb!!

The hotel was beautiful, especially our room and bathroom, great value for what we paid.

Very pleasant stay for 2 nights. Hotel is lovely and dining experience very nice. Sadly the drive and outside is needing some TLC but overall, very nice.

We have stayed at Doxford Hall several times and the level of service and the friendliness of the staff never disappoints.
We had a beautiful room with lovely amenities and we dined both nights in the George Runciman restaurant. The staff ensured that my dietary restrictions were catered for and I had no hesitation in eating the delicious food on offer. The breakfasts were amazing.
The bar was well stocked and the addition of a cocktails menu was well received.
We were well rested each morning and ready to explore the area.
We will certainly be back.
My only quibble was with the local bird life. If staying at the hotel, do not park under the trees on the car park to the left. I did on the first night and next morning I had to spend several minutes cleaning the bodywork of the unwelcome bird lime deposits !!

Lovely small traditional hotel. Big rooms, well appointed. Lots of lounges etc. Friendly staff. Good food - if a bit pricey. Fabulous grounds within a country estate.
One or two small maintenance issues and some pale coloured public area carpets needed cleaning.

Quite a grand hotel but the friendly good humoured staff ensure it does not feel too grand or stuffy. Beautiful candlelit dining room and great food. Really nice, comfortable bedroom and lovely public rooms (especially the library). However, don’t try the maze unless the weather has been dry beforehand as very, very muddy.
